Social Anxiety and Shyness Group Meet Ups – Create or Find a Group - Find New Friends
Here at Aspiring Butterfliez we are all too familiar with the difficulties people face in making friends. We specifically aim our meet ups for people who experience social anxiety and shyness. Like minded people getting together with shared interests being non – judgemental and making new friends along the way. For some people a group meet up sounds like it could be a great idea, and for others a group of people getting together sounds like the most daunting thing ever.
How can i make friends with social anxiety and shyness? Meeting people that are going through similar experiences, being active in shared interests definitely does help with confidence and self esteem. Understanding other people’s situations puts less pressure on everyone. Just knowing how the other person is feeling can help so much. Knowing you are not alone.
What kind of group meet up? There are some examples below but it's entirely up to you. You decide. Do you often hear yourself saying “ I would really like to… but i have no one to go with?

Setting up a profile gives you the opportunity to search local friendship groups. You can either find a group you would like to join based on your interests, age and area or create your own group meet up. Choose a group name, activity, venue, date, time.
Once you have a group of friends you connect with you can perhaps alternate your group activity each time. Meeting up for a meal, cinema, arranging a night out, you choose it’s your group.
We all need friends it’s important for our mental health. As you will know social phobia does prevent us from enjoying the things we would really like to do with friends, but it doesn't have to.
